MICOP Kenya
Mangu Integrated Community Project (MICOP Kenya) is a community-based organization founded in 2010 to advocate for the rights and wellbeing of older persons. Guided by a strong human rights approach, MICOP Kenya focuses on inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment of older people and persons with disabilities. Our goal is to create spaces and services where everyone — regardless of age or ability — can participate fully in society.
Over the years, MICOP Kenya has initiated and supported various impactful programs, including:
Raising awareness on the rights of older persons through training, forums, and campaigns.
Partnering with health facilities to offer free medical checkups and wellness services for seniors.
Contributing to national and regional policy frameworks promoting social protection and inclusion.
Equipping communities with knowledge to support age-friendly and accessible environments.
